The Review Process

Initial Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts are first screened by the Editorial Review Board to determine whether they broadly meet the requirements of the Journal of Biological Interdisciplinary Research (JBIR).

Initial Evaluation Within 10 days

Manuscripts that fall within the scope of the journal and meet the minimum quality standards are considered eligible for peer review.

Key Evaluation Criteria:

Originality

Novelty and innovation of research

Data Validity

Robustness and reliability of data

Writing Clarity

Clear and concise presentation

Conclusion Strength

Well-supported conclusions

Research Significance

Potential impact on the field

Pre-Review Requirements

Authors of manuscripts deemed "eligible for peer review" are required to submit the following documents and fees:

Processing Fee

Article processing fee payment

Plagiarism Report

Comprehensive similarity check

Grammar Check

Language and grammar verification

Author Contributions

Verification of author roles

Peer Review Process

Reviewer Assignment

Once all requirements are fulfilled, the manuscript is sent to two or three reviewers under a double-blind peer review process.

Review Completion

After all reviewer reports are received, the editors evaluate the feedback and make a decision.

Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' comments, manuscripts may be rejected, accepted, or returned to authors for revision.

Possible Decisions:

Accepted

Manuscript accepted for publication

Revision Required

Address reviewer concerns for reconsideration

Rejected

Manuscript not suitable for publication

Important Note

Papers placed under revision must adequately address reviewers' concerns before a final decision is made. The overall duration of the review process may vary depending on the availability of reviewers, the quality of the manuscript, and the promptness of responses from both reviewers and authors.

Post-Acceptance Process

Acceptance Notification

Once a manuscript is accepted, the corresponding author is informed and requested to pay the publication charges.

Language Editing

Following payment, the manuscript undergoes language editing and consistency checks.

Final Revisions

Any issues identified during the in-house final editing are communicated to the authors for correction.

Publication Scheduling

The scheduling of publication depends on the order in which proof-corrected papers enter the production queue.
