Plagiarism Policy

Definition

Plagiarism refers to the use of another person’s work, ideas, or intellectual property without proper acknowledgment, and presenting it as one’s own. This constitutes a serious breach of academic integrity and is strictly prohibited.

Originality

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Biological Interdisciplinary Research (JBIR) must be original and unpublished, and should not be under consideration elsewhere.

Detection

To ensure the authenticity of submitted work, JBIR employs plagiarism detection tools such as iThenticate and Turnitin to screen manuscripts for similarity before publication.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are free from plagiarism, including:

  • Self-plagiarism,
  • Duplication,
  • Inappropriate paraphrasing.
Consequences

Any manuscript found to violate these standards will be rejected or retracted, and appropriate action may be taken in line with ethical publishing guidelines.
